2012 Winter.

Yes, then winter came and I did lots of skiing and stuff, but I reckon you don't care much about that, so here's a pic of the best street art I've ever seen instead.

X-Mas touring Tokyo 2012

Continuing my recap, this was from our city-tour last x-mas,
8 santas but only 1 reindeer... riding a misfiring Ducati... terrific :/

Zoomer

Had some things to take care of around town today so I did some hand-held iphone filming while I was scooting back and forth. It's so much nicer to be on the Zoomer instead of the trains, even though they air conditioning on the trains are quite nice on stinking hot days like we have now...

Check around 1.40 for some badass style!

Tokyo flight

Flying from Martin Petersson on Vimeo.

I went for a little flight with a friend living in my building who's got a pilots license, really really spectacular to see Tokyo from birds eye perspective, it's huge of course, dense to say the least and it also gives you a little remainder of your own size and importance on this planet...

Nut-butter, Hellmart and Antiques cafe

Lately I've been at some very nice and very japanese bike/geek/ottaku shops in Tokyo area. Today I went with Antonio to Hellmart which was really amazing, packed with old helmets which the owner kind of restores or rather refreshes on the inside and then sell to ridiculous prices. I ended up buying one of course... :/

The cool thing is that they are always so welcoming and friendly and curious about where you come from, what you ride etc, it's something that I often miss back in europe, this genuine service-mindedness. The last pics are from Antiques cafe, which was so nice that me and my friend Nicholas ended up spending 3-4 hours talking about bikes and chatting with the owner and eating excellent food  before we finally left for home. Good time.

Tokyo Heli-flight

We chartered a helicopter for a joint celebration-flight for some of us turning 30, one leaving japan and one getting divorced, if I should ever use the word awesome and really mean it, this would be the time!
AWESOME!!!

Rain season...

Rain season just started... got a few great days of riding last weekend though, but now it will be kind of rubbish for a while it seems. It's so humid that even when it doesn't rain (like in the pictures above taken from my flat when I came back from work today) it's like breathing some kind of hot sticky slimy substance... and this slime has no resemblance to normal air whatsoever. (:O No genki. And this is just the beginning... Anyway, been a while since I saw a rainbow, so that's always something. :) (And I look kind of slim in the first picture, nothing could be further from the truth though! )

Sumo

Subarashi!!! Fantastic good fun, used to follow sumo back home a little bit when they showed it on eurosport, but seeing it live was just great! I warmly recommend it if you visit japan at the time of a Basho/tournament, great atmosphere and very involving. No career change planned though... but my doctor did say I'm a bit fat actually... hmm, maybe, but then again I'd have to wear that belt-diaper-thingie... I dunno...
